Dr. Sara Perez (Buchholz) grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. Always loving animals, it wasn’t until a high school biology teacher introduced a love of science that solidified her path to becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Sara graduated from Carthage College in 2007 with a degree in Biology, and from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
She moved to Illinois and has been practicing in Lake and McHenry counties since graduating in 2011. Her clinical interests include ophthalmology, dentistry, and physical rehabilitation, but she loves being able to see a variety of different cases everyday.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sara enjoys spending time with her family: 2 children, a husband, and a dog named Red. They spend a lot of time outdoors exploring. She also enjoys reading and movies.
